The U.S. Open gets underway this week with qualifying matches and the mixed doubles championship in Queens, but its tendrils span all of N.Y. Here is a selection of the many events taking place around the Big Apple tied to the event.

TUESDAY, AUG. 25

Tennis Channel and Racquet are hosting screenings of two documentaries executive produced by COCO GAUFF at Pier 17’s Seaport Racquet Club. “Serve: Fashion & Tennis” explores the intersection of sports and style, while “The Zina Effect” traces the legacy of Olympic gold medalist ZINA GARRISON. The event is free and open to the public.

THURSDAY, AUG. 27

Thompson Central Park’s Opening Serve pop-up, presented by Baileys Irish Cream, will bring together athletes, creators and media in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Baileys and Thompson Central Park’s iconic Burger Joint will debut a limited-edition collaboration: milkshakes served with a Baileys Mini 100mL for guests to pour, alongside a curated menu.

K-Swiss is hosting a 60th anniversary media day at the Park Terrace Hotel on Aug. 27, followed by a party with music by JASMINE SOLANO. This will also be the first stop of a K-Swiss mobile truck tour from Aug. 27-30, running 10am-2pm daily with stops at Paragon Sports in Union Square (Aug. 28) and pickleball-themed pop-ups at 151 West 42nd Street in Times Square (Aug. 29, 30).

FRIDAY, AUG. 28

The Park Lane N.Y. will host tennis stars AMANDA ANISIMOVA, ANDREY RUBLEV, ELINA SVITOLINA and JASMINE PAOLINI to celebrate the start of the U.S. Open with networking, cocktails, a Q&A with the players, and unmatched views of the N.Y. skyline and Central Park. The event will welcome celebrities, N.Y. VIPs, tastemakers, designers and influencers.

New U.S. Open sponsor Electrolit is hosting a “Battle of the Sabys” at Fini Pizza in Brooklyn Heights with brand ambassador ARYNA SABALENKA. Fans will be invited to “channel their inner Aryna through serve, style and sound challenges, with three winners earning the chance to meet Aryna herself and receive a custom trophy presented by the tennis star.” The event will be hosted by comedian JEREMY CULHANE and feature DJs, pizza, Electrolit cocktails and the return of Sabalenka’s limited-edition “Saby’s Slice,” which will be available at all N.Y. Fini locations between Aug 28-30.

Richsport is partnering with Dream Downtown (by Hyatt) on a three-day pop-up from Aug. 28-30 in Chelsea. Co-hosted by WTA player DANIELLE COLLINS, there will be a live local female artist creating custom tees, tooth gem activation and other experiences, including player appearances.

Taste of Tennis, an invite-only tennis, culinary, and lifestyle event series, will return to N.Y. at Flyfish Club in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The signature event will take place on Friday, but AYS, the marketing and events agency behind Taste of Tennis, will also activate the space during the two weeks of the U.S. Open main draw with partner experiences.

SUNDAY, AUG. 30

The USTA will kick off its “U.S. Open Experience at Hudson Yards,” which is scheduled to run 11am-8pm daily from Aug. 30-Sept. 5. The pop-up will be hosted at Hudson Yards’ main plaza and feature red ball tennis courts; a gaming tent; a player tunnel photo experience; live theme art creation by 2026 U.S. Open theme artist EUGENIA MELLO; a U.S. Open merchandise store; ESPN’s U.S. Open coverage playing on a large screen; and activations by U.S. Open sponsors Heineken 0.0, La Roche-Posay, Lavazza, Peloton and Polo Ralph Lauren.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 2

Leaders Club and The Team are bringing together sports industry professionals for an exclusive Members Meet during the US Open. Hosted at THE TEAM’s Dumbo headquarters in Brooklyn, the evening will feature a conversation with ELIZABETH LINDSEY, Global President of Brands & Properties, The Team, and KRISTI KOLSKI, Sports & Entertainment Partnerships Director, IBM, exploring the intersection of partnerships, fan engagement and leadership through the lens of one of the world’s biggest sporting events. Members will also enjoy rooftop networking overlooking Brooklyn while connecting with peers from across the New York sports industry.
