MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was behind bars in the Riley County Jail on Tuesday following his Monday afternoon arrest in connection with multiple counts of battery on law enforcement officers in Manhattan, officials said.
The arrested man was identified as Nicolus Allen Weiss, 35, of Manhattan.
• Riley County police officers filed a report for four counts of battery of a law enforcement officer at approximately 1:39 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza.
A 35-year-old Manhattan man was being held Tuesday on a $106,000 bond in the Riley County Jail following his Monday arrest in connection with seven counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, officials said.(WIBW)
Listed victims in this incident included a 56-year-old man, a 49-year-old man, a 68-year-old man and a 47-year-old man.
• Riley County police then filed a report for three counts of battery of a law enforcement officer at approximately 3:48 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.
Listed victims in the second incident included a 43-year-old man, a 47-year-old man and a 38-year-old man.
Weis was subsequently booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with a total of seven counts of battery on a law enforcement officer.
He was issued a bond of $106,000 — for both arrests — and remained in the Riley County Jail on Tuesday.
