A Bronx man charged with driving while intoxicated following a single-vehicle crash in Yorktown is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court tonight.
Enrique Dejesus Montoya-Carcamo, 25, was arrested Aug. 12 after Yorktown police said an officer responded at about 10:41 p.m. to a motor vehicle crash near Route 100 and Seven Bridges Road.
An officer found Montoya-Carcamo next to an overturned vehicle. Police said further investigation determined he was allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Montoya-Carcamo was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and several traffic infractions, including disobeying a traffic control device, failing to use a designated lane, moving from a lane unsafely, driving at an unreasonable speed and operating an unlicensed vehicle.
He was taken to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation and later transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. He was released on his own recognizance and issued uniform traffic tickets.
Montoya-Carcamo is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
