THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A second person is dead after two shootings that are believed to be connected in the city, according to police.
The first shooting happened in Brooklyn earlier this week, then in the Bronx Tuesday morning.

In the Bronx, surveillance showed a gunman storming into the deli, with gunshots heard.
The gunman then went behind the counter to the cash register, where and an employee ended up ducking onto the floor.
“I heard the shot, I lay down…and took all the cash,” said the employee.
With a gun in his face and nowhere to run, Muhammed says he just lay down and stayed still.
Police say Jesus Acosta, 31, walked into a deli just after midnight Tuesday to rob the place. Sources say a new surveillance video shows Acosta entering the deli on East 149 Street and Walton Avenue.
After the shooting, Acosta can be seen leaving the premises and apparently ditches his maroon hoodie on Walton Avenue.

The hoodie is key evidence possibly connecting Acosta to a fatal shooting at a fast food restaurant on Rockaway Avenue in Brownsville on Sunday.
A 44-year-old employee was shot in the head and died. Another man was also shot but survived.
In the Bronx, workers in the deli are shaken, concerned about their safety.
“I checked myself. I said I’m happy, said Muhammad. ” I don’t care about the money. I was happy to stay alive.”
“It’s crazy you feel for your co-worker, said Jose Bravo, an employee. “You don’t want anyone to be hurt. Everyone wants to come to work and get back home.”
Acosta got away with cash and marijuana from the deli.
At the deli in the Bronx, locals are lighting candles to honor the customer who was killed.
