NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Multiple attendees and vendors were robbed during what should have been an enjoyable experience for convention goers over the weekend, according to the New York State Troopers.
At least three people were robbed of almost $11,000 worth of cash, merchandise and equipment, state troopers say.

One convention attendee had $600 in cash stolen from them, while a vendor was robbed of $9,600 worth of Pokémon cards. Another attendee had $747 worth of camera equipment stolen, law enforcement officials say.
Arrests have been made in connection with the cash and Pokémon cards however, the stolen camera equipment remains under investigation.
Multiple attendees and vendors at the convention reported instances of theft on social media over the weekend, including an artist who said they had a cash box stolen and a photographer who said their camera equipment was stolen. State police however, were not able to confirm these reports.
A spokesperson for LeftField Media, which manages Anime NYC, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the incidents.
