Opening just ahead of NYFW, ‘Snoopy in Style NYC’ brings together designer collaborations, rare fashion archives and 75 years of Peanuts culture

Snoopy is having quite the fashion moment.

Fresh off the beloved Peanuts character’s birthday, Snoopy is heading to New York City, and he’s bringing some of fashion’s biggest names with him. Snoopy in Style NYC opens to the public Sept. 2 in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, transforming a massive 16,000-square-foot space into a celebration of Snoopy’s decades-long influence on fashion, music, sports and pop culture.

The exhibition, which previously had a run in Paris, will feature 10 immersive zones with installations curated by The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center. But the New York edition is getting its own makeover, with designers and brands including Coach, BODE, Christopher John Rogers, Collina Strada, Kith, Levi’s, LUAR, Sandy Liang and GAPStudio by Zac Posen creating custom looks for Snoopy and Woodstock.

And Snoopy’s relationship with high fashion is hardly new.

The tradition dates back to when Peanuts creator Charles “Sparky” Schulz was still alive. A 1990 exhibition at the Louvre in Paris featured Snoopy designs from some of the most recognizable fashion houses in the world, including Chanel, Hermès, Dior, Armani and Givenchy. The NYC exhibition will bring pieces from that history together with the newly commissioned 2026 designs and rare archival items.

The timing is also fitting: The exhibition opens just as New York Fashion Week approaches and while the US Open is underway.

Fashion is only part of Snoopy’s story: one installation will explore Schulz’s connection to tennis, including his friendship with Billie Jean King and advocacy for Title IX and the Women’s Sports Foundation.

Music gets its own spotlight, too. Joe Cool’s Listening Lounge will celebrate the unmistakable sound of Peanuts and composer Vince Guaraldi with a DJ booth, rare albums, archival material and music-inspired merchandise.

Snoopy in Style NYC will run Sept. 2 through Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 25 Little West 12th Street in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. The experience will also include a retail component and gift shop from Sarah Andelman, the founder of famed Parisian concept store colette.

For a character who first appeared more than 75 years ago, Snoopy somehow keeps finding himself back in style… although, arguably, he never really left.
