Staten Island residents gathered along Victory Boulevard in Castleton Corners on Monday evening to protest Rep. Nicole Malliotakis. The demonstration was part of the weekly “Malliotakis Mondays” protests and marked the group’s 47th consecutive Monday. Protesters criticized her ties to President Donald Trump and called out what they described as waste, fraud and abuse. They said they have heard no response, no meeting and no town hall, despite letters and more than 500 signed requests. Participants carried signs, played music and chanted against dishonesty, while Malliotakis’ office pointed to her record in Staten Island and Brooklyn. Malliotakis said states that expand Medicaid to cover illegal immigrants should bear more of the cost, and the protest took place outside her district office at 1698 Victory Blvd.
