The USTA celebrated the successful launch of the 2026 US Open with a groundbreaking drone presentation, marking the first time drone shows took place simultaneously over the New York City area. The dual performances lit up the skies over Flushing-Meadows Corona Park—the home of the tournament—and above the Hudson River against the iconic New York City skyline, highlighting this year’s theme, “Celebrating Our New York Story.” The drone shows offered spectators a rich visual and audio experience, set to the US Open’s “Sonic Identity.” This orchestral theme, blended with bucket drums, incorporates unique sounds curated for each of New York’s five boroughs to capture the city’s unmistakable rhythm and spirit.
