A man set himself on fire inside a building containing offices for Google in Downtown Manhattan Friday, cops said.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, walked into the Hudson St. building near Spring St. in Hudson Square and set himself on fire just before 3 p.m., according to law enforcement.
Medics rushed the man to a local hospital in stable condition. There were no other injuries.

The NYPD set up a crime scene that extended outside the building’s front door, where a singed backpack was spotted lying just off the curb.
Investigators are still working to determine the man’s motive.

The building, in which Google is the largest tenant, is part of Google’s larger Hudson Square campus, which also includes a much bigger building, at 550 Washington St., several blocks to the west, on the site of the former St. John’s Terminal. Google also has another major hub in New York City in Chelsea on Eighth Ave.
