STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A few lucky fans of the Wu-Tang Clan will have the opportunity to snag some free concert tickets during the Staten Island FerryHawks “Salute to Shaolin” game Saturday evening.
Attendees of the special tribute event will have the opportunity to win two free tickets to see the Wu-Tang Clan in concert this September during their Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber tour. In addition to free tickets, winners will also have the chance to meet Shaolin’s own during a post-show meet and greet.
Tickets will be given out during the second, fourth, sixth and eighth innings of Saturday’s game. Those looking for a chance to win can sign up upon entering Staten Island University Hospital Community Park in St. George.
The tickets offered to winners will be for performances in Holmdel, New Jersey, and Wantagh, New York.
For Saturday’s game against the York Revolution, the FerryHawks will transform into the Shaolin Hawks in a salute to the hometown music group.
In addition to the chance to win tickets, Wu-Tang Clan fans also have the chance to pick up the official special collaboration Shaolin Hawks T-shirt at the team store.
Gates to Saturday’s game open at 5:30 p.m., but the game itself begins at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled to take place at the ballpark after the game.
