BROWNSVILLE/THE BRONX — POLICE ARE SEARCHING for Jesus Acosta, 31, a Bronx resident suspected of shooting and killing two men and wounding a third during robberies of a pizza restaurant in Brooklyn and a deli in the Bronx. Both of the deceased — Tayvon Schuler, 33, and MD Yousef, 44 — were residents of Brooklyn who were shot while working in their shops.
Yousef was shot in the head inside the American Best Wings & Pizza restaurant at 842 Rockaway Ave. near Newport Street. A 39-year-old coworker was shot in the right leg and survived. Schuler was shot on Tuesday just after midnight inside 143 E. 149th St. in the Bronx. The suspect cleaned out the register and fled. Schuler later died.
Acosta is described as having a light complexion, 5 feet and 11 inches, 175 pounds, short brown hair, and brown eyes. He has the word “Bronx” tattooed on his hand and the name “Bobby” tattooed on his left forearm.
