GREENFIELD, N.Y. –– The Town of Greenfield Lions will host a solemn reflection on Friday, Sept. 11, to mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, at the Middle Grove Town Park, located at 430 Middle Grove Road in Middle Grove, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Greenfield Fire District, New York State Police, Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, State Sen. James Tedisco, Post #533 American Legion Color Guard, Greenfield Historical Society, Cub Scouts #4018/Scouting in America, Girls Scouts #3889 and Greenfield Dragons 4-H Club are scheduled to participate.
“We will offer a solemn reflection of the day that changed American History as well as a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to all the first responders and firemen of the Town of Greenfield Fire District,” a release about the event noted.
A procession will line up at 6 p.m. at the Middle Grove Methodist Church parking lot (across the street), with step-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The public is asked to park in the new crushed-stone section of the parking lot, or on the lawn near the entrance, and to leave the left side of the park driveway open for the procession.
