MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) — New York City said “farewell” to legendary broadcast journalist Kaity Tong Sunday night.
Weeks ago, the Emmy Award-winning anchor announced her retirement from broadcast news after over three decades with PIX11 and over 40 years of reporting in the New York City area.

From the anchor desk in San Francisco and Sacramento to the Big Apple, Tong has been honored with awards of all kinds to reflect the job she’d done in television news, including an induction into the New York State Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
Tong’s 10 p.m. Sunday newscast on PIX11 was her last.
