As the world prepares to mark 25 years since the Sept. 11 attacks, many are remembering the hundreds of people who lost their lives and the families and colleagues they left behind.
More than 650 Cantor Fitzgerald employees were killed when the company’s offices in the North Tower were destroyed. CEO Howard Lutnick also lost his brother in the attacks.
In the aftermath, Lutnick asked his sister, Edie Lutnick, to focus on a charity fund supporting Sept. 11 victims and their families.
Now, 25 years later, Lutnick and Cantor Fitzgerald corporate lawyer Caroline Koster have co-edited a new book, “The Families,” featuring essays from 176 family members, survivors and witnesses.
