The Great Neck Park District welcomed approximately 2,000 residents and their guests to Steppingstone Park on Sunday, Aug. 23, for an evening of music, culture and community.
The evening opened with award-winning vocalist Ghazal Mizrahi, whose performance blended Jewish, Persian and contemporary musical influences. Mizrahi was joined by violinist Bianna Pinchuk and Michelle De Angelis.
Los Angeles-based singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Itay Benda headlined the concert, captivating the audience with his ability to perform in more than 50 languages. His performance brought together musical influences from around the world, using music and storytelling to highlight themes of unity, cultural understanding and connection among different communities.

The event also featured food from local businesses Rita’s of Great Neck and Paprika, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The concert was part of the Great Neck Park District’s summer concert series, which will conclude with a performance by renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman on Sunday, Sept 6, at 8 p.m.
The Perlman concert is open exclusively to Great Neck Park District residents. Tickets are available through the district’s website at www.gnparks.org.
