Police sources say officers shot a woman who allegedly stabbed another woman and a man in Times Square Monday afternoon.
It happened near 7th Avenue and 43rd Street around 4:30 p.m. Five people were hospitalized, including two police officers, the NYPD said.
Police said the female stabbing victim is in critical condition, while the man has non-life threatening injuries. The condition of the woman whom police shot is unknown at this time.
This incident does not appear to be terrorism-related, according to the NYPD.
The NYPD says to avoid the area and expect delays.
