These adorable animals at HOPE Animal Rescue in New York are looking for a forever home. Could you be the one that gives it to them?
MIKEY (4 years old)

Meet Mikey, a handsome, 4-year-old orange kitty. He hasn’t had an easy start to life- he was found on the street and had to be kept contained in a room alone because he cannot be around other cats.
He had been in foster home for roughly a year-and-a-half before coming to HOPE. Mikey will need a bit of time to adjust to his new surroundings, but once he does, he is so sweet and craves attention. He will come right up and rub on your leg asking for head scratches and pets!
He loves to play and meows and chirps as he pounces on his mouse or spring. While in a foster home, he was away from other cats but got along well with two larger dogs. Based on some of his behaviors, it is possible that he was abused at some point in his life, and although he likes women, he really gravitates towards men.
If you know orange cats, you’ve got to love them! They can be fun & rambunctious with a touch of sweetness and spice. Mikey will do best with an experienced cat owner.
ALANA (4 years old)

Alana is a sweet, smart girl with a curious nose and a heart that deserves a forever home. She’s had a difficult start, first being abandoned in an apartment when her owners moved away. She was then taken in by neighbors with several other pets, including dogs, kids and kittens, and did well with them—but there simply weren’t enough resources for everyone.
Alana was adopted from the shelter but later returned because her family struggled with traveling. The good news? Alana actually enjoys the car and gets excited to go for a ride! She just needs some time and patience to settle into a new routine.
Now Alana is hoping her third home will finally be her forever. She is house-trained, crate-trained, loves playing ball, and is always ready for some cuddles.
Her ideal family will be active and ready to give her plenty of exercise, whether that means long walks, adventures, or a game of fetch in the backyard. With stability, patience, and lots of love, Alana is ready to show you what a wonderful companion she can be.
KIKI (10 years old)

Meet Kikim a resilient 10-year-old cat currently looking for her forever home.
Kiki was one of five indoor cats abandoned when their previous owners moved away. The cats’ ages range from 5 to 16 years and fortunately a home was found for the older cats, thanks to caring neighbors who saved them off the streets.
Kiki is calm, sweet and easy-going. She constantly wants to be petted and be around people! Since she had not received vet care in several years, she recently underwent successful dental surgery, including extractions.
Her blood work came back perfect and she is up-to-date with all her vaccines, and has tested negative for both FIV and FeLV.
Kiki is ready to be back in a home where she will be loved and spoiled for the rest of her years.
