The New York Giants will begin signing players to the practice squad after the waiver period ends on Monday at 1:00 p.m. ET. All NFL teams can carry 16 players on their practice squad during the 2026 season. Some will have 17, with a roster exemption designated for International Player Pathway players.

The Giants made 38 total transactions over the weekend, but many of those who were released will return to East Rutherford on the practice squad to start the 2026 season.

Once the practice squad is filled, the initial 53-man roster will turn into a complete 69-player (or 70, if an international player is retained) team for general manager Joe Schoen and head coach John Harbaugh.

Follow along as Giants Wire tracks all the additions made to the practice squad on Monday.

More practice squad signings

As the Giants head out to practice, their remaining practice squad signings for the day include linebackers Chandler Martin and Trace Ford, defensive lineman Ben Barten, cornerback JT Woods, and offensive lineman Ryan Scherneke.
