The New York Giants were not awarded any players on waivers Monday as teams moved to acquire players dropped on Sunday when 53-man rosters had to be set for the regular season.
The Giants were fifth in the waiver wire priority, but still did not add any players. The Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, and Tennessee Titans — in that order — were ahead of the Giants.
The Raiders were awarded just one player, defensive back Darrell Luter. The Jets claimed kicker Blake Grupe and linebacker Trevin Wallace. The Titans claimed three, linebacker Owen Pappoe, defensive back Melvin Smith, and defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse.
Former Giants linebacker Darius Muasau, a 2024 sixth-round pick, was claimed by the New England Patriots. Ex-Giants defensive coordinator Shane Bowen is on the Patriots’ defensive staff.
The Miami Dolphins, who had the 11th priority in the claim order, were awarded seven players.
