BAYONNE, N.J. (Sept. 1, 2026) – The South Florida men’s golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a sixth-place finish out of nine teams, shooting 2-under 850 at the New York Harbor Cup at Bayonne Golf Club in Bayonne, New Jersey.
 
Wilhelm Ryding led the Bulls with a 3-under 210 to finish tied for 10th place. He shot par or better in all three rounds.
 
Jackson Spybey finished tied for 15th place with a 1-under 212, recording two rounds at par or better.
 
Hugo Trommetter tied for 23rd with a 1-over 214 after shooting 1-under 70 in the second round.
 
Wylie Inman competed in his first collegiate tournament as an individual and finished tied for 30th.
 
Reggie Fear tied for 34th place, while Vincent Stjernfeldt placed 41st and closed strong with a final round at 1-under 70.
 
Kansas won the tournament by two strokes with a 25-under 827. Kansas’ Arthur Carlier and Purdue’s Jenson Forrester shared the individual title at 12-under 201.

South Florida recorded 68 birdies, including five players with 10 or more.
Wilhelm Ryding recorded his 11th top-10 finish of his career.
