NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Many wondered what former Saturday Night Live co-stars Colin Jost and Pete Davidson were gonna do with the Staten Island Ferry when they purchased it. Now they’re finally unveiling their plan to turn it into New York City’s next biggest comedy show.
Davidson and Jost are turning the orange New York icon into a one-night-only floating comedy club called the “Snapple Island Ferry” on Sep. 17.

Alongside the Staten Island natives, three yet-to-be-announced rising stars will also join them on board the vessel for the special show.
“Turning the ferry into a floating comedy club with Snapple makes more sense than anything
else we considered, and it still doesn’t make much sense,” said Pete Davidson in a statement. “Either way, we’re giving people a chance to take a break, have a laugh, and do something completely ridiculous with us.”
Jost and Davidson purchased the defunct 277-foot-long Staten Island Ferry vessel at a city auction for $280,100 in 2022 with plans to turn it into a floating nightclub alongside comedy club owner Paul Italia.
The ferry, dubbed the John F. Kennedy, operated from 1965 through August 2021.

Free tickets will drop online at 3 p.m. each day between Thursday and next Tuesday, limited to two per person. To get tickets, click here.
Lucky ticket holders will board the vessel at 7 p.m. from Pier 17 with the show set to kick off at 8:30 p.m.
