The city’s Campaign Finance Board — a non-partisan independent city agency — released a report Tuesday celebrating the success of its matching funds program in the 2025 election cycle, during which $83 million was spent in races across the city, namely the race for mayor.
Paul Ryan, executive director of the CFB, joined “Inside City Hall” to discuss the report, noting that big spending doesn’t always result in big wins, which he believes is a good sign for democracy.
