GREENWICH VILLAGE, Manhattan (PIX11) — Hundreds surrounded those who believed they embodied the spirit of New York City’s mayor in Washington Square Park.
There was a Mayor Zohran Mamdani lookalike contest Sunday afternoon held by the London-based business, Sonder.

Sonder is an app for those looking to make friends in their area, with the early access version just opening in New York City.
“Flew all the way from London to soft launch our app,” the business wrote on Instagram.
The winner, sporting Mamdani’s signature look from the New York Knicks championship parade: a suit with a Knicks jersey over his shirt and tie.
The mayor himself couldn’t make an appearance in Greenwich Village, though. He was in Queens celebrating the final day of US Open Fan Week.
