SYRACUSE, N.Y. — It’s not just the Rochester region that’s dealing with storms. The gates of the New York State Fair in Syracuse are temporarily closed on Wednesday because of flooding.
The fair posted a photo of the flooding to its Facebook page and announced that the Wilson Phillips concert at Chevy Court Stage is postponed. The post didn’t specify when the fair will reopen, but said it hopes to reopen as soon as possible. It told fairgoers to text NYSF to 888777 to get updates.
The fair kicked off last week and continues through Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7) at the fairgrounds on 581 State Fair Blvd, just off the Thruway. All concerts, exhibits, and other entertainment are included with the price of admission. This year’s music lineup includes some all-star acts, including Third Eye Blind, ZZ Top, Flo Rida.
