Three tornadoes have now been confirmed in Genesee, Orleans and Niagara counties.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo completed a damage survey in response to reports of localized destruction from severe thunderstorms Wednesday.

In Orleans County, a severe supercell thunderstorm moved in shortly after 6:30 p.m., passing just south of Medina.
As it moved over East Shelby, a tornado touched down in a field east of Bigford Road and south of Martin Road and continued east through a forested area, uprooting numerous trees and snapping a few before lifting over an open field west of Townline Road.
The weather service also investigated storm-related damage from thunderstorms that produced an EF-1 tornado that affected areas east of Alexander near Route 20.

Farther southeast, investigators observed a dense cluster of large locust tree trunks snapped in a convergent pattern, which led to a high-end EF-1 rating for that tornado.
Sporadic tree damage continued near Linden and along Skates Hill Road just north of the Genesee-Wyoming county line, the weather service said.
