TOWN OF WATSON, New York (WWNY) – A Lowville man died Thursday after losing control of his motorcycle in the Town of Watson, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
The Lewis County 911 Communications Center received a report of a motorcycle crash on Number Four Road at approximately 6:32 p.m., the sheriff’s office said.
An investigation determined Kristopher Pignone, 44, was operating a 2023 Honda CRF300 motorcycle southwest on Number Four Road when the motorcycle entered the shoulder of the roadway, causing him to lose control.
Pignone was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, Lewis County Search and Rescue, and Kafline’s.
The crash remains under investigation by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
