The complete cast and creative team has been revealed for Broadway’s upcoming musical Wanted.
Previously titled Gun & Powder, Wanted is set to begin previews on Broadway at the James Earl Jones Theatre October 15 ahead of a November 8 opening night. Obie winner and Tony nominee Stevie Walker-Webb is directing with choreography by Chelsey Arce. The production will be the first new musical to open of the 2026/2027 Broadway season.
Telling a true story, Wanted focuses on Black twin sisters Mary and Martha Clarke who were able to pass for white and hide in plain sight while on the run. The musical features a book and lyrics by Angelica Chéri (descendant of the Sisters Clarke), music by Ross Baum, and choreography by Chelsey Arce (Sweeney Todd, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child).
As previously announced, Wanted will star Solea Pfeiffer (Hadestown, Gatsby: An American Myth) as Mary Clarke, Liisi LaFontaine (Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Dreamgirls) as Martha Clarke, Luke James as Elijah, R&B legend Ledisi as Tallulah Clarke, and Bradley Jaden (Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular) as Jesse. Aurelia Williams and Awa Sal Secka will play Sissy and Flo, respectively, reprising their performances from the musical’s earlier runs at Paper Mill Playhouse (for Williams) and Signature Theatre (for Secka).

Newly revealed to be joining them are standby Ximone Rose, and Melody A. Betts, Aaron Arnell Harrington, Jennie Harney-Fleming, Rayshun LaMarr, Hailey Thomas, and Harris Matthew Turner as the Kinfolk ensemble. Rounding out the company will be Wesley J. Barnes, Kailey Boyle, Meghan Olivia Corbett, Timothy Hughes, Crystal Joy, Mary Claire King, Brad Sharp, Danielle J. Summons, Nathan Quay Thomas, Katie Thompson, and Brent Thiessen. Casting is by Tara Rubin and Olivia Paige West of The TRC Company.
Wanted will feature orchestrations by John Clancy, arrangements by Ross Baum and Austin Cook, music supervision by Nadia DiGiallonardo, music direction by Paul Byssainthe Jr., scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, lighting design by Adam Honoré, costume design by Emilio Sosa, sound design by Gareth Owen, video and projection design by Stefania Bulbarella, hair, wig and make-up design by J. Jared Janas and Tony Lauro, fight and intimacy direction by Claire Warden, and cultural consulting by Kaja Dunn. Mary MacLeod is the Production Stage Manager.
Under its original title, Gun & Powder, the musical played the Paper Mill Playhouse in spring 2024.
