Le’zus Paige-Brooks drowned in Brooklyn Park, and a Maryland Department of Human Services report found that it was a case of neglect.

The report showed that both caregivers in the home thought the other was watching Le’zus, when, in fact, neither was and the boy fell in the pool and drowned.

The Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office on Friday confirmed to WBAL-TV 11 News Investigates that while it was tragic, this did not rise to criminal conduct.
