Florence quarterback Jake Schneiter threw for four touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Falcons to a 33-20 win at home over the defending class B state champion Manhattan Tigers.

The Falcons jumped out to a 20-7 at the intermission thanks to three rushing scores from Schneiter in the opening half.

However, Manhattan closed that gap in the second half and a Tyson Pavlik to Matthew Fenno TD connection, their second of the night, evened up the game 20-20 with just over 10 minutes left to play.

However Florence would find paydirt twice down the stretch to close the door, once on a Schneiter to Tash Murray touchdown pass and again on a short yardage Luca Caldarone rushing score to make it a final score of 33-20.

Florence improves to 1-1 on the season and will be on the road at Fairfield next week.

Manhattan drops to 1-1 this fall and will be at home next week hosting Big Timber.
