Patrick Clancy and his new wife Rachel Danis have been spotted out in New York City.
The married pair held hands as they walked together on the city streets on Sept. 2. In some of the photos, the pair beamed at each other and appeared to be in good spirits.
The outing marked one of the first times Patrick has been seen out with Rachel amid his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy’s highly publicized murder trial.
He married Rachel this April, more than three years after Lindsay strangled her and Patrick’s three children before attempting suicide.
Lindsay has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder, with her defense team arguing she was experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time of the January 2023 killings.
While Rachel has not participated in the court proceedings, details about her relationship with Patrick have sparked public interest during the trial.
Four months after his children were killed, Patrick moved to New York City, according to public records obtained by the New York Post.
In 2024, he filed for divorce from Lindsay and began dating Rachel, according to People. The following year, she moved into his Upper East Side apartment, a friend of theirs told the outlet. The couple chose Central Park as the venue for their small wedding.
In court on July 23, Lindsay’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington spoke about how Patrick is “trying to hard move on with his life” following the 2023 tragedy, noting that he had divorced and remarried.
“Patrick Clancy has suffered one of the worst tragedies,” he said, “that anyone could ever suffer.”
The jury has been deliberating Lindsay’s fate for more than six days and has informed the judge twice that they’re deadlocked. If a mistrial is declared due to a hung jury, prosecutors could decide to retry the case.
