by Massive Change Coming to Arrow Linen Block Under New Developer
Park Slope and Windsor Terrace residents who fought for a deeply affordable redevelopment of the former Arrow Linen site in scale with their low-lying row house neighborhood are now seeing their hard-won victory made moot by a new developer.
Brooklyn developer Goose Property Management, which recently replaced Apex Development, plans a much bigger apartment complex than what was pitched during the rezoning and with only standard affordability.

Brooklyn Heights Locals Mull Mayor’s New BQE Repair Plan
Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s new plan to fix up and extend the life of the city-owned section of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway has drawn mixed reactions in Brooklyn Heights.
The $4 billion proposal, unveiled Monday, steps back from a total reconstruction of the 1.5-mile BQE Central proposed by previous administrations. Instead, the city would construct temporary bypass roads in Brooklyn Heights and repair the crumbling highway — including the infamous triple cantilever — so it can be used for another 40 years.

The Outsider: Cobble Hill Backyard Shines in Fall With Boxwood, Grasses
Even gardens are heaving a sigh of relief that the worst of summer heat is past, though this low-maintenance Cobble Hill backyard, dominated by boxwoods and ornamental grasses, probably tolerated it better than most. It was conceived from scratch as a modern outdoor retreat for a pair of new homeowners who were “not particularly excited about flowers,” said landscape designer Katherine “Kat” Aul Cervoni, founder of the 12-year-old New York City-based boutique garden design firm Staghorn NYC.

Park Slope’s Super Stoop Event Returns This Month
A day of bargain hunting and community gathering will return this fall with the second annual Park Slope Super Stoop event. Sponsored by the Park Slope Civic Council, it is a community-wide chance to sell or give away some goods and mingle with neighbors.
