ROCHESTER 5, SYRACUSE 0 (BOX)
In game one of the double-header, the Mets mustered only three hits against the Red Wings. Jack Wenninger went four, striking our five, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks. Dan Hammer didn’t help, allowing three runs in one and a third innings pitched.
SYRACUSE 7, ROCHESTER 4 (BOX)
Zach Franklin (acquired for Huascar Brazobán) continued his success in Triple-A, tossing two scoreless innings, allowing two hits with one strikeout. On the alternate spelling tip, Zack Short hit an RBI double. Vidal Bruján drove in two runs on a double and Hayden Senger drilled a three-run, pinch hit home run.
BINGHAMTON 2, NEW HAMPSHIRE 0 (BOX)
Mitch Voit drove in both Bingo runs on a double, which accounted for just all the offense for the Rumble Ponies, aside from a single by Eddinson Paulino. The Binghamton pitching staff allowed just four baserunners all night, stirking out ten and walking none.
FREDERICK 9, BROOKLYN 5 (BOX)
John Spikerman had himself a night in the Brooklyn loss: two walks, three stolen bases, three runs scored, a home run, and two RBI. Sadly, Joe Scarborough gave up six runs in just an inning and a third of work, leading to the loss.
ST. LUCIE 10, JUPITER 6 (BOX)
Yovanny Rodriguez hit two solo home runs, and Kuhio Aloy and Branny De Oleo added home runs of their own en route to the St. Lucie dub. The St. Lucie staff struck out 17 and walked six.
