Last year’s commemoration of September 11
The Town of Pelham invites all residents to gather on Friday, September 11, 2026, for a special community commemoration marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The ceremony will begin at 8:30 AM at the Town of Pelham 9/11 Memorial, located at Harmon Avenue and Harmon Place in the Village of Pelham. This year’s observance will include the unveiling of a new plaque at the memorial, created to share the meaning and significance behind the memorial and ensure that its story continues to be understood by future generations.
As we mark 25 years since September 11th, the Town invites the community to join first responders and local leaders to come together to remember those whose lives were lost, honor the courage and sacrifice of that day, and reflect on the strength and unity that followed.
The Town of Pelham 9/11 Memorial serves as a permanent place of remembrance for our community. The addition of the new plaque will help preserve the story and meaning of the memorial for generations to come.
