The City of Bayonne will hold a parade on Sunday to honor their Little League’s team for their remarks World Series run last month, Mayor Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski announced.

“The City of Bayonne is extremely proud of our World Series heroes. We welcome this opportunity to honor the first team in Bayonne history that competed in a Little League World Series,” Mayor Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski said in a statement.
The event will take place on Sunday, September 13th, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00, with the procession gathering at 30th Street and Avenue C.
The procession will move eastward down 30th Street from Avenue C to Broadway before the floats will turn right onto Broadway. The procession will then move southward down Broadway from 30th Street to 5th Street.
From there, the floats will turn right, going west on 5th Street until reaching Avenue C. After that, the floats will drive south down to 1st Street.
Finally, the procession will turn right on 1st Street and will proceed westward to the Little League facility at 1st Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard. At the conclusion of the parade, a ceremony will take place at the Little League facility.
Bayonne 1st Ward Councilman Gene Perry let the public know at the August 26th City Council meeting that the city was planning a parade for the Little League team after their historic World Series run, as HCV first reported.
The team’s run in the 2026 Little League World Series ended on Tuesday, August 25th, after a 5-2 make-or-break loss to the West Side Little League team from Great Lakes Region out of Hamilton, Ohio.
Prior to that, Bayonne came up short with a 6-0 loss to Davenport, Iowa, meaning they needed to win on the 25th to stay in the tournament but fell short.
However, the team’s two back-to-back wins to start the series had the Peninsula City making national news.
