MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – One person was transported to an area hospital following a two-car crash late Monday in Manhattan, officials said.
The collision was reported around 10:09 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Bluemont Avenue.
Riley County Police officials said a Chevrolet Camaro driven by Kirsten Wallace-Newsome, 25, of Manhattan, collided with a Honda Accord driven by Sohil Mamon, 19, of Manhattan.

Mamon was transported to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for treatment of injuries following the crash.
Wallace-Newsome was issued a citation for an unsafe lane change or merging.
