RDP Kings, Queens earn ACAC soccer wins

It was a pair of clean sheets that powered the RDP Kings and Queens to victory over the weekend in Alberta Colleges Athletic Association action.
The Queens earned a 6-0 victory over the Ambrose University Lions in their lone match of the weekend on Saturday. Keeper Jana Leskewich earned the clean sheet with two saves.
Strikers Sein Furuyama and Jaeda Marquart each scored a pair of goals, while Payton Erick also added a goal.
After a 6-0 loss to SAIT to open the season, the Queens have earned back-to-back wins.
They will host the Olds College Broncos on Sept. 12 at noon at RDP.
The Kings earned a 3-0 victory over the Lions. Dylan Godbout had the shutout for the Kings with five saves. Striker Mikito Funase scored twice for the Kings and midfielder Ryan Kelly also added a goal.
The Kings lost their season opener 2-1 to SAIT on Aug. 29. The Kings will host the Broncos at 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 12.
