SOUTH BRONX, The Bronx (PIX11) — Two people were injured after a potential collapse at a construction site in the Bronx on Tuesday, according to authorities.

A man and a woman were injured when the collapse happened at 477 Willis Ave. around 2 p.m., police said. One of which was hit by debris.

CitizenApp video from the scene showed a heavy FDNY presence at the construction site that appeared to have metal bars caved in.

PIX11 has reached out to the New York City Department of Buildings for a statement but no additional information was immediately made available.

According to records from the Department of Buildings, the location had three violations issued by the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings in 2022 that have since been resolved.
