25 arrests made at the Great NYS Fair this year, including DWI, trespassing and more

GEDDES, N.Y. — Twenty-five people were arrested and charged during the Great New York State Fair, police said.

According to New York State Police Spokesperson Jen Jiron, most of the suspects are facing DWI-related or criminal contempt charges.

Jiron said two people were charged with possession of stolen property, one of which involved the theft of a vehicle.

Other charges included trespassing, drug possession, resisting arrest, petit larceny, obstructing governmental administration and harassment.

The 2026 Great New York State Fair was from Aug. 26 to Sept. 7.
