An out-of-control flatbed truck driver struck three people on a lower Manhattan sidewalk, leaving one pedestrian dead, cops said.
The driver of the Chevrolet truck had just crossed the Manhattan Bridge and was heading went on Canal St. in Chinatown when he made a right turn onto the Bowery and vaulted the sidewalk about 10 a.m., cops said.
He struck a 77-year-old man on the sidewalk and two women, ages 71 and 52.
He kept going up the Bowery, getting into a collision with a van a block away near Hester St., cops said.
Medics took the three pedestrians to Bellevue Hospital, where the man died and the women were in stable condition. The 47-year-old man behind the wheel of the van was taken to the same hospital in stable condition.
The truck was hauling a large load of wooden pallets.

The 66-year-old truck driver remained at the scene and was taken into police custody, with charges pending.
