On the opening drive, K-State drove 69 yards and drained nine minutes off the clock before the Cougar defense stuffed them on third and short inside the red zone. The Wildcats settled for a 31-yard field goal, which was good.

On Washington State’s first drive of the game, Caden Pinnick led an eight-play, 56-yard drive to K-State’s 19-yard line, where the drive stalled and the field goal unit trotted out. However, like last week, kicker Jack Stevens couldn’t make it happen, pushing the 37-yard attempt wide left. Stevens is now 1-of-4 on the season.
