JAY, N.Y. (WCAX) – The New York State Police arrested a 48-year-old Ausable Forks man Sunday in connection with the homicide of 54-year-old Patricia Lawrence, found dead in her Jay residence in August.
Tucker J. Taylor is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Lawrence.
State police say they responded to 150 Carey Road in the town of Jay on Aug. 2, 2026, after Lawrence was found deceased inside her residence.
Investigators say they executed multiple search warrants shortly after her body was discovered.
They also asked residents and businesses in the surrounding area to review security camera footage for any suspicious activity between 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, and 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2.
Sunday, Taylor was taken into custody without incident in Plattsburgh, he will be arraigned in the Town of Elizabethtown Court.
