Local sports bar and restaurant Gabby’s is set to open its newest Toronto location this weekend.

Gabby’s is opening at 15 Queens Quay E. on Saturday, Sept. 19. To celebrate its opening, the first 75 guests can get a free order of chicken tenders and fries starting at noon, according to the Waterfront BIA.

Aside from the freebies, the new location will offer $5 happy hour specials, $9.75 cocktails and $5 validated parking, with a $20 minimum spend.

Known as a sports bar, the new space is set to have 19 TVs throughout the room and include a 16-foot 4K big screen to watch those upcoming Leafs or Raptors games, along with NFL Sunday.

Inside, there are more than 200 seats. Outside you’ll find a 75-seat west-facing patio overlooking the Toronto Island ferries.

Specials here will include half-price chicken wings every Monday and Wednesday, as well as two happy hours from Monday to Friday, first from 2 to 5 p.m., then from 9 p.m. to close.

“Gabby’s is the neighbourhood family restaurant and sports bar where Queens Quay families, sports fans, soccer supporters, teams, patio lovers and friends come together,” stated the restaurant online.

Gabby’s has taken over the former Courtside Restaurant. It promises the “same great viewing experience, now with 14 draft taps, craft cocktails, great food and a video game section that keeps kids and families happy … It’s the same Gabby’s hospitality that’s been welcoming guests across the GTA since 1989.”

The Queens Quay restaurant joins 17 other Gabby’s locations, including Toronto’s 157 Roncesvalles Ave., 729 Danforth Ave. and 309 King St. W.
