NEW YORK STATE (WRGB) — New York state has a new dashboard to track measles.
The state says measles cases are increasing across parts of the state, with 57 confirmed measles cases this year, including six in New York City.
Those cases are being linked to local transmission and domestic travel.
Measles symptoms include high fever, cough, runny nose, red, watery eyes, and a rash that starts on the face and spreads downward through the body.
Health officials urge people to stay up to date on their measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine, which they say can provide more than 95% protection with two doses.
