Queens Of The Stone Age and Interpol are gearing up for a huge joint show next year in Mexico City.
The two rock bands will perform on a double-bill at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes stadium on March 6th, 2027.
Announcing their escapades to fans online, the Josh Homme-fronted band wrote, “Mexico! We can’t wait to see you, with Interpol.”
This won’t be the only Interpol appearance at that time in Mexico; the band has previously confirmed a show on March 2nd at Arena Guadalajara, as well as at Arena Monterrey on March 9th.
As well as the two formidable outfits, The Black Angels will be joining Interpol on all booked dates.
Both bands have visited the territory in recent tmes; Interpol played their biggest-ever show for 150,000 fans at Zócalo square in 2024, while Queens Of The Stone Age appeared at Mexico City’s Corona Capital festival a year later.
It’s a busy time for Interpol, who released their eighth studio album, This Mirror Weighs A Ton, last month.
Far Out gave the project a glowing four-star review, observing, “Even if they are now more than twenty years into their career, the record isn’t for their long-term fans only. It’s an album you’ll be able to appreciate and enjoy even if you’ve never heard a note from Interpol before.”
As for Queens Of The Stone Age, fans will have to wait a little while longer to hear their forthcoming album, Perfecth, which will be released on October 30th through Matador Records.
Elsewhere, Homme recently opened up about his experience battling cancer, admitting that the harrowing ordeal “woke me up to a whole bunch of things that I’d not been paying attention to in my life […] I’m sort of thankful for it all at the end, because I feel closer to the things that I truly love.”
