City Blue Imaging Services has been inducted into the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry.
Founded in 1926 as City Blue Print Co., the firm has evolved from a traditional architectural blueprint operation into a full-service commercial imaging and digital printing provider.
The historic business registry recognizes local businesses that have operated for at least 50 years and contributed significantly to the history of their communities. State Sen. Jeremy Cooney presented the recognition plaque on Thursday evening.
The company was forced to rebuild its operations center on Scio Street in Rochester after a fire destroyed the facility in December 2020.
“We are grateful to be named to the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry,” John Mealey, president of City Blue Imaging, said in a news release. “Thanks to the loyalty of our clients and dedication of our staff, we remain committed to the Rochester community as we begin our second century.”
