Police investigate fatal crash involving side-by-side in Dannemora
New York State Police are investigating a crash in Dannemora that killed two people over the weekend.
DANNEMORA, N.Y. —
New York State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people in Dannemora.
Police responded to Sunset Road at 6:51 p.m. on Saturday for a reported UTV collision. Investigators determined that Destiny Gay, 24, of West Chazy, was operating the UTV with Robbie Grant, 54, of Hogansburg as a passenger.
Gay lost control of the UTV and exited the north shoulder of the road, which caused the UTV to hit a tree and roll over.
Lyon Mountain Fire and Rescue personnel responded and evaluated both occupants. They were pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner’s Office.
Autopsies are scheduled to take place on Monday. The investigation is ongoing.
