The “Fall Safe Speed” campaign will run from Sept. 22 through Sept. 27. Troopers will also target motorists who violate New York’s Move Over Law, according to a State Police news release.
During the campaign, troopers will use both marked patrol cars and Concealed Identity Traffic Enforcement (CITE) vehicles, which blend in with regular traffic to help officers identify motorists who violate traffic laws. The vehicles are recognizable as emergency vehicles once their emergency lights are activated.
