“Little Cyrus’ dream has always been Broadway, since the moment I did my first show in kindergarten to the countless trips to NYC squeezing in as many shows as possible into my itinerary,” Veyssi said in a statement. “I’m honored and humbled to join such a remarkable cast and crew, and to play the role of sweet May, a character whose journey is close to my heart.”

The Broadway company is currently led by Gianna Harris as Juliet, Tony winner Paulo Szot and NSYNC Superstar Joey Fatone rotating as Lance, Alison Luff as Anne, Corey Mach as Shakespeare, Michael Iván Carrier as May, Jeannette Bayardelle as Angélique, Spencer Sutherland as Romeo, and Anthony Gargiula as François, with Gabe Amato, Daniel Assetta, Reese Britts, Nicholas Cooper, Jhailyn Paige Farcon, Kenneth Onesimus Goubran, Makai Hernandez, Megan Kane, Alaina Ví Maderal, Daniel J. Maldonado, Mackenzie Meadows, Esosa Oviasu, Cassie Silva, TJ Tapp, Zalah Vallien, Darien Van Rensalier, Romy Vuksan, and Kenzie Ziegler.

As previously reported, & Juliet will play its final performance at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre January 3, 2027. Upon closing, the jukebox musical will have played 1,723 regular performances and 20 previews.

The international hit, which opened at the Sondheim
November 17, 2022, following a run in the West End, was the first new
musical of the 2022–2023 Broadway season to announce its recoupment. It has grossed more than $175 million on Broadway. The musical, which flips the script on the classic Shakespearean tragedy Romeo and Juliet, celebrated its 1,500th performance at the Sondheim June 23.

Nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, & Juliet features a book
by David West Read. The score includes famous pop songs written by Max
Martin, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “I Want It That Way,” and
“Confident.”

U.S. casting is by Stephen Kopel and Carrie Gardner.
