Archer & Greiner P.C. announced Sept. 22 the appointment of five new practice group leaders and new leadership for its New York and Delaware offices, effective Oct. 1.
The appointments are in the areas of the firm’s litigation, transactional, and advisory work and reflect Archer’s continued investment in the leadership guiding its practices, offices and client teams.

New York — Co-Managing Partners
Meredith M. Mazzola focuses on estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and related tax matters for high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, fiduciaries, and charitable organizations. She also represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in probate and estate administration, including complex estates and probate litigation
James Smith advises clients on complex securities and corporate transactions, investment management, and corporate law, representing investors, issuers, underwriters, and fund managers in acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, and fund formations. He also counsels private equity, venture capital, and real estate fund managers on structuring and launching investment funds and on securities compliance.
Delaware — Managing Partner
Natasha M. Songonuga focuses on business reorganization, bankruptcy, and corporate restructuring, representing debtors, creditors, trustees, landlords, and other stakeholders in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 proceedings and related litigation. A Subchapter V Trustee in Delaware, she guided the first confirmed Subchapter V Chapter 11 plan of reorganization in the state.
New Practice Group Leaders
Kate A. Sherlock — Intellectual Property. Sherlock advises companies across a range of industries on protecting, developing, and enforcing their intellectual property (IP) rights, technology, and data, including trademarks, trade secrets, licensing, and technology transfers. She also handles IP disputes, counsels clients on the legal and business implications of AI and evolving privacy requirements and serves as co-chair of the firm’s sports and entertainment group.
Anthony R. La Ratta — Estate & Trust Litigation. La Ratta Anthony represents banks, corporate fiduciaries, executors, trustees, and beneficiaries in litigation involving estates, trusts, guardianships, and fiduciary duties, and co-chairs the firm’s private wealth, estates and trusts group. He is also a court-approved mediator for probate matters in New Jersey.
Steven K. Mignogna — Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mignogna is a recognized mediator with decades of experience in probate and commercial litigation involving estates, trusts, gifts, fiduciaries, guardianships, and real estate. His clients range from banks, corporate fiduciaries, and charitable institutions to individual beneficiaries, executors, trustees and guardians.
Douglas Diaz — Labor & Employment. Diaz represents employers in employment and labor disputes, litigating discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenant, and wage and hour matters in state and federal courts and before agencies including the NLRB, EEOC, and Department of Labor. He also counsels clients on workplace policies and traditional labor law, including collective bargaining, arbitrations, and union organizing campaigns.
Eric I. Yun — Immigration & Global Mobility. Yun maintains a cross-disciplinary practice spanning immigration and litigation, guiding employers and individuals through the full range of immigrant and non-immigrant visa processes and compliance issues. He also handles complex disputes, including employment claims, breach-of-contract actions, and business tort matters, at both the trial and appellate levels.
