Queen Exhibits is spending $1.7 million to construct a new building on Commerce Drive in Piqua to accommodate its rapid growth in the trade show industry over the past seven years, the company said.
The 20,000-square-foot building, which will be constructed by Bruns General Contracting, will consolidate its corporate headquarters with one of its other two locations in Piqua, according to the company.
Sheryl Queen, owner and chief executive officer of the company, emphasized the company’s plan to keep its 10,000-square-foot building, located on Bridge Street, as a way of accommodating future growth.

“Companies spend millions of dollars on large custom exhibits for one to two trade shows a year, but then they have hundreds of shows that are just as important, but require much smaller displays,” Queen said. “We handle the management of those displays – we make sure displays get to and from the show, we pull and prep them, and store them so they’re ready the next time they’re needed.”
The company started in 2019 with Queen and her late husband, Walt Queen. The company has 24 employees.

The trade show industry, a multibillion-dollar sector, has made a strong comeback since 2020 as well as the U.S. alone hosts more than 13,000 trade shows each year, with attendance now exceeding pre-pandemic levels, the company said.
While Queen can’t disclose client names, she said the company serves nearly every industry, including big names in retail, manufacturing, health care, software and finance, according to the release.
